Description
The Granary is a former threshing barn dating from the 18th century. It features a timber frame with brick walls and a half hipped pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of four bays. The south front has a central pair of barn doors with a timber lintel, and above this is a matchboarded panel with a hatch to the right. There are single lean-to wings on either side, with the left wing having a single slatted opening. Above the right wing, there is a gabled 19th-century dormer with a close boarded door and pantile roof. The east end of the barn has two slit ventilators, while the north side also has a central pair of barn doors. Inside, the barn features post and truss framing with large arch braces, and a principal rafter roof with collars and clasp purlins. There is a brick corn hole to the left.
