Description

The World's End Public House is a 17th century building with a tall late 18th century side addition and further 20th century extensions. It features a combination of part rendered timber frame, part rendered masonry, and some colour-washed brickwork, all topped with pantiled roofs. The original wing is two storeys high with an attic and has two 18th or 19th century casement windows with horizontal glazing bars on the first floor. The ground floor has been altered by a 20th century flat-roofed front extension. A late 18th century bracketed cornice is present, along with two sloping dormers, a crow-stepped gable, and a large gable-end stack. To the north, there is a stable-cum-garage side extension. The side addition is three storeys tall and consists of three bays, with the northernmost bay featuring a five-sided, two-storey porch. The doorcase has an open-topped arched pediment that is partially obscured by a fascia. There is a sash window with glazing bars and a stuccoed architrave above, along with a bracketed cornice. The remaining bays have similar windows with stucco keystones and stucco rusticated quoins, as well as gable-end stacks.
