Description

No. 2, Old Meeting House Alley is a house dated 1889, as indicated by a decorative plaque. It is constructed of red brick with terracotta detailing and features a plain tile roof. The building has a crow-stepped south gable and consists of two storeys and three bays. The windows are ovolo section mullion and transom types, set within a rusticated surround and topped with a segmental pediment. The central door is framed by partly fluted Corinthian pilasters that support a pediment adorned with terracotta panels featuring a flower motif. A small ovolo section brick cornice with plain brackets is present as well. This house is included for its group value with the Old Meeting House.
