Description

15 and 17 Colegate comprise an early 17th-century building with 18th-century additions to the rear. The building is constructed of painted brick with a pantile roof. It is two storeys high and features three widely spaced first-floor windows. Number 15 has a rusticated doorcase with a hood supported on consoles. Sash windows with glazing bars in the top sash flank the doorcase. Number 17 has a 19th-century shopfront, and a small central entrance door is located at the extreme left. A stringcourse runs along the first-floor level of Number 15, above which are two casement windows and a sash window. The building is finished with a bracket cornice.
