Description

A pair of early 19th-century houses forming part of a terrace on the north-west side of St Stephen's Square. The houses are constructed of red brick, with number 23 painted, and have a rendered plinth. They have slate roofs and two brick ridge chimneys. The two storeys feature four first-floor windows each. The doors to the right of each house alternate with glazing bar sash windows, which are fitted with horns and set beneath flat gauged brick arches. Number 21 has a six-panelled door with a fanlight incorporating intersecting glazing bars. Number 23 has a 20th-century half-glazed door and a plain fanlight. Small first-floor windows are positioned above each door.
