Description
A pair of houses dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the later 19th century. The houses are built of red brick with a pantile roof, a central brick ridge chimney, and two rebuilt gable end stacks. They are two storeys high, with six first-floor windows, each unit arranged symmetrically. The front doors are 4-panelled and have plain fanlights, recessed within round-headed arches constructed of gauged brick. Number 36 has 16-pane sash windows set beneath flat gauged brick arches. Number 35 features two canted ground-floor bay windows with decorative columns and large-paned sashes throughout. The group value of the buildings lies in their contribution to the character of Victoria Street.
