Description
A pair of houses located in St. Stephen's Square, dating from the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of red brick with a rendered plinth, topped by a slate roof. There is a rear brick chimney and an end-stack chimney to the right. The two-storey facade has four first-floor windows. The doors to the left of each house are alternate, and the glazing-bar sash windows are set in flush-fronted frames, each with a flat, gauged brick arch above. Number 17 has a 20th-century half-glazed door, while Number 15 has a door with raised and fielded panels. Above each door is a plain overlight, positioned above a rendered lugged architrave with a pediment. A box cornice runs along the top of the facade.
