Description

No. 10 Ipswich Road is an early 19th-century house constructed of painted brick with a hipped slate roof and two yellow brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and features three symmetrical first-floor windows. It is accented by paired end pilasters and a slightly projecting central bay topped with a pediment. A set of four steps, flanked by pedestals with urns, leads to deeply recessed double-leaf doors that are panelled and partially glazed. These doors are flanked by pilasters, and plain square columns set in pairs support a small rendered hood with a plain entablature. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, positioned under flat gauged brick arches. The house includes a plain frieze and a box cornice.
