Description

Nos. 30 and 32 on Newmarket Road are mid-19th century houses constructed of yellow brick with a red brick plinth. They feature a hipped slate roof and have one brick chimney at the ridge, along with two side stacks on the left. The buildings are two storeys high and have three symmetrical first-floor windows, with end pilasters. There are six steps leading up to the glazed double-leaf doors, which are set beneath a plain mullioned overlight and flanked by Ionic half-columns and pilasters. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are topped with flat gauged brick arches. No. 32 has a similar entrance located on its right side elevation.
