Description

TG 2207 NW NEWMARKET ROAD (North West side) 27/548 5.6.72 Nos. 45 and 45a GV II House, Now 2. Early C19. Yellow brick with ashlar details. Irregular hipped slate roof. 4 brick chimneys Greek revival style. 2 storeys and attic; 4 first-floor windows. End bays defined by pairs of brick pilasters with capitals and single pilasters to projecting bay with pediment to right of centre. Steps up to 6-panelled door with plain overlight and architrave with consoles. Ground floor windows have sashes with glazing bars in similar moulded architraves. First-floor sashes also with glazing bars are under a rendered frieze with laurel-wreath decoration. Left bay has hipped gable fronted roof. Gabled and pedimented dormer to right of centre and another similar to the right side elevation.
