Description
No. 30 Hope Street is an early 19th-century house constructed of brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features five bays, with the central three bays projecting forward beneath a pediment. It has a stone plinth, a flat band above the ground floor, and a first-floor sill course on the central bays. The top is finished with a cornice and blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sashed, with those on the first floor including glazing bars. The entrance is notable for its three-quarter columns, acanthus necking, an enriched frieze, urns and swags, a cornice, and a semi-circular fanlight that does not have glazing bars.
