Description

17 and 19 Hope Street are two houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and have a slate roof. Each house is three stories tall with a basement and features two bays. The design includes a stone plinth, a first-floor sill band, and a top cornice. The windows have wedge lintels and are sashed. Number 17 has windows with glazing bars, a Doric doorcase with fluted columns, a complete fanlight, a six-panel door, and iron handrails leading to the steps. Number 19 has a doorcase with missing columns and a six-panel door.
