Description

No. 4 Newmarket Road is a mid-19th century house constructed of painted brick, featuring a rendered porch and a hipped slate roof. It has two storeys and four first-floor windows, which are distinguished by brick pilasters. The porch, which includes side windows, has a six-panelled door with a plain overlight, flanked by pilasters and topped with a moulded cornice. The large paned sash windows, which have horns, are adorned with flat gauged brick arches and pairs of louvred shutters. The building is also complemented by two yellow brick chimneys.
