Description
This is a mid-18th century house with a north gable dating to an earlier period. It is located on The Street in Hindolveston. Constructed of red brick with a red pantiled roof, the house is two storeys and three bays wide, with a single-storey lean-to at the south. The upper floors contain sash windows with glazing bars, set under flat, rubbed brick arches. A central two-light casement window also features glazing bars. A central boarded door provides access. The gables have kneelers and brick coped parapets, with stacks at each end. The north gable’s brickwork is incorporated into the later house. The lean-to has a mid-19th century crow-stepped gable and stack. At the south end of the building are stopped and chamfered spine beams with run-out stops.
