Description
This building is a cottage located at 81 The Street, with a datestone indicating it was built in 1778. It is constructed of brick and has two storeys with three bays. The ground floor features two windows and a central door, all topped with flat arches that have keystones. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, while the door is a 20th-century addition under a pentice porch. The keystone above the door displays the date and initials. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casements from the 19th century, and between them is an 18th-century insurance plaque. The cottage has a brick dentil eaves cornice and a stack at the east end. The adjacent cottages at 79 and 83 The Street are not considered of special interest.
