Description
The Homestead is an early 18th-century house located on the west side of the Old Yarmouth Road in Stalham. It is constructed of quaternary flint, chert, and brick, with roughcast and whitewash to the rear, and has a thatched roof. The house is one storey high with a dormer attic, arranged in a symmetrical three-bay design. A late 19th-century gabled and thatched timber porch shelters the central door. To the left and right of the porch are three-light casement windows with segmental heads. The roof is gabled, with three eyebrow dormers set under the thatch. Internal gable end stacks are present. A blocked attic window is visible in the east gable head. The rear of the house features a full-length brick outshut with a catslide roof, and the east wall of the outshut was rebuilt in the 20th century.
