Description

Mayflower Cottage is an early 18th-century house located on the west side of Rotten Row in Dorchester. It is constructed from coursed clunch rubble with brick dressings and features some rendered timber framing. The cottage has a thatch roof with a brick ridge stack and a two-unit plan. It is one storey high with attics. The front has two windows and a door located to the left of center, positioned between three-light casements, all of which have segmental arches. There are also two small three-light dormers. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and has a central stack. The left gable is likely timber framed. The interior has not been inspected.
