Description
The Gallery Tearoom, located to the west of Dorchester Galleries, is an outbuilding that has been partly converted into tearooms. It dates from the 17th century and features timber framing with brick infill, topped by an old plain-tile roof that has a brick ridge stack. The building has a two-unit plan and is a single storey in height. Its irregular front includes three plank doors and four small windows. The roof is half hipped to the right and flipped to the left, with a stack positioned to the left of center. Inside, there are jowled posts and a clasped-purlin roof. The building may have originally served as a cottage and is included for its group value.
