Description
The Fleur de Lys Inn is an inn that may date back to the late medieval period and was extended and remodeled in the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building features rendered walls that are partly timber framed, along with brick construction. It has old plain-tile and Welsh-slate roofs with brick stacks. The inn has a three-unit plan that extends to the rear and stands two storeys tall.
The front facade, which is rendered, has three windows and includes a wide panelled and glazed door, a sixteen-pane sash window to the right, and a double twelve-pane sash window to the left. There is also a carriage entrance at the extreme left. On the first floor, there are three twelve-pane sash windows. The slate roof has stacks on both the right and left sides. The rear of the building is timber framed with a tiled roof and much lower eaves. Additionally, there is a hipped-roofed brick rear wing that features more sash windows. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to contain crucks.
