Description

Walnut Cottage is an early 18th-century house located on the north side of Old Yarmouth Road in Stalham. The building is constructed of brick and has been whitewashed on the south front. It features a thatched roof and a baffle entry plan. The cottage has one storey and a dormer attic, with two doors—one on the left and the other to the right of centre—alternating with two 20th-century casement windows. The gabled roof includes two eyebrow dormers beneath the thatch and has a ridge stack positioned to the left of the right-hand door. The gable head displays tumbling. Although the interior has been altered, the stairs remain by the stack, though they are now of 20th-century origin. There is also one chamfered bridging beam.
