House and shop, now all a shop, integral on the ground floor with No.21 (qv). C17 origins, re-fronted mid C19, altered late C20. Red brick, rendered and colourwashed. Pantiled roof. 3 storeys; 3-window range. Mid C20 plate-glass shop front under a prominent fascia board. Three 2/2 horned sashes to the first and second floors, the upper ones smaller. Eaves cornice with mutule brackets. Gabled roof. Internal gable-end stacks north and south. To the rear is a hipped warehouse range of 2 storeys and dormer attic: two 4/4 horned first-floor sashes and a blocked window face west. Gabled dormer. INTERIOR: ground floor C20 in character, opened out into a unified sales floor contiguous with No.21 (qv). The 2 cellar ranges run parallel to street. Front range of C17 brick, sunk-quadrant moulded bridging beams and 2 blocked shutes to the street. Rear cellar also C17 brick, re-used C16 roll-moulded and crenellated bridging beams and north and south walls clad in C17 small-framed panelling.
