Description
No. 19 Bear Street is a house with a shop, dating from the early 19th century, and possibly a remodelling of an earlier building. It features solid rendered walls that are surprisingly thick at the front of the ground storey and has a slated roof. There are two red brick chimneys on the left side wall, which may be shared with No. 18, and one on the right side wall. The building is two storeys tall and has a two-window range. To the right, there is a round-arched doorway with a late 20th-century six-panelled door and an early 19th-century fanlight with radial bars. To the left, there is a late 20th-century shop front. The upper-storey windows have slightly curved arches and barred sashes, with eight over eight panes on the left and six over six panes on the right. A moulded eaves board completes the exterior. The interior has not been inspected.
