Description

No. 18 Bear Street is a house with a shop, dating from the early 19th century. It features solid rendered walls and a slated roof, with two red brick chimneys on the right side wall, which may be shared with No. 19. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The ground storey displays horizontal channelling at either end, with a mid to late 20th-century shop front in the centre. The upper-storey windows are barred sashes, with 8 over 12 panes in the second storey and 8 over 8 panes in the third storey. A moulded eaves-board completes the exterior. The interior has not been inspected.
