Description

No. 85 High Street is a house with a shop, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It features a solid rendered front and a slated roof, with no visible chimneys from the street. The building has three storeys and a two-window range. The ground floor includes a shop front with late 20th-century display windows and doors, flanked by pilasters and entablatures that are likely from the late 19th or early 20th century. The upper-storey windows have moulded architraves, and those on the second storey also feature moulded cornices on consoles. The second-storey windows are fitted with late 20th-century 9-paned wood casements, while the third-storey windows have 8-paned sashes in box-frames. The interior has not been inspected.
