Description
No. 32 Market Row is a shop located in Great Yarmouth, dating from the late 16th century but rebuilt in the early 19th century when it was raised by a storey. The building has been altered in the 1970s and features painted brickwork and a pantiled roof. It stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The late 20th-century shop front is present on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two 2/2 horned sash windows set within early 19th-century flush frames, along with two similar sash windows on the second floor and a small sash window to the left. The roof is gabled, and the rear of the building includes a small yard that was filled in during the 20th century. There is also a small first-floor late 16th-century 2-light mullioned window with leaded glazing, and a former stair turret remains to the left, rising to the first floor. Inside, there are patches of late 16th and 17th-century brick in the cellar, and the rear window has been bricked up.
