Description

Brampton War Memorial is located in the churchyard of the Church of St Peter, The Street, Brampton, Norfolk. It is prominently situated in the churchyard near to the church. It comprises a stone wheel-head cross on a small plinth and small single-step base. The inscription and names are on the front face of the shaft, with the dedication on the front face of the plinth.

The inscription reads TO THE/ GLORY OF GOD/ AND/ IN MEMORY/ OF THOSE/ FROM THIS PARISH/ WHO DIED FOR/ THEIR COUNTRY/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1919/ (NAMES)/ THIS MONUMENT IS ERECTED BY THE/ PARISHIONERS OF BRAMPTON AND FRIENDS.
