Description
The Beeches is a late 18th and early 19th century house in Tuttington. It is constructed of red brick with pantile roofs, including a hipped roof over a later range to the west. The house has a T-shaped plan and two storeys. The west facade comprises three bays, featuring sash windows with glazing bars set within rubbed brick arches. A central six-panel door, partially glazed, is set within a doorcase featuring reeded pilasters and an entablature, with panelled reveals. A wide overhang exists at the eaves. There is a lower, two-storey rear wing, containing 19th and 20th century casement windows, with an entrance door positioned off-centre. Chimney stacks are located at the east gable and along the ridge line. Brick dentil eaves are also present.
