Description

MATERIALS: rough-hewn grey granite.

DESCRIPTION: Burgh-Next-Aylsham War Memorial is located on the roadside at the junction of The Street and Wood Lane, Burgh-Next-Aylsham, Norfolk. It is prominently situated facing a crossroads in the middle of the village. It comprises a wheel-head cross on a plinth, raised on a large concrete base. The plinth has a smooth front face to bear inscriptions in lead.

The inscription is in leaded lettering and reads: TO/ THE MEN OF THIS PARISH/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES).
