Description

MATERIALS: rough-hewn grey granite.

DESCRIPTION: Bramerton War Memorial is located in the churchyard of the Church of St Peter, The Street, Bramerton, Norfolk. It is prominently situated by the S porch of the church. It comprises a wheel-head cross with a downturned Sword of Sacrifice in carved relief, on a plinth atop a single-stepped square base. It has a smooth, recessed area to the front face of the plinth bearing inscriptions in leaded lettering.

The inscription reads TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE/ MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR/ LIVES IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1918/ (NAMES).
