The memorial features a stone floriated cross atop a tall octagonal shaft with a moulded collar, which is set on a square-section corniced plinth that bears inscriptions. This entire structure is positioned on a moulded square-section base.
The inscription on the front (south) face of the plinth is incised and reads: "TO THE/ GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN/ HONOURED MEMORY/ OF THOSE/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE/ GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1918." The names of those who fell in the First World War are listed on the east and west faces of the plinth. On the rear, the inscription reads "1939 – 45/ (NAMES)."
