Description

Spinney Cottage is a former bakery that has been converted into a cottage. It features a large 17th-century bakers oven on the east gable of the mid-18th century cottage. The building has a 19th-century rear extension that gives it a T-shaped plan. The cottage is constructed of chequered red brick and has a plain tile roof. It is one storey high with attics and includes a floor band. There are two cast iron casements and weatherboarded gabled dormers. The chimney stack is made of plain brick with a square shaft, likely from the 18th century, sitting on a pyramid-shaped base. The extension includes glazing bar casements.
