Description
67 Main Street is a cottage and former bakery dating from around 1800, with later additions and alterations. It is a single storey and attic structure featuring six bays, with 19th century canted gabled dormers and ridge stacks. The exterior is painted and rendered rubble with painted ashlar margins and raised window and door margins. The front has a two-leaf timber-panelled door, with windows in two bays to the right and three bays to the left. There is a timber boarded sliding door on the outer left, along with three canted dormers and one gabled dormer that has slate-hung sides in the attic. The rear has a timber-boarded back door and irregular fenestration. The former bakehouse is gabled and has large late 20th century extensions and alterations at the rear.
The windows are predominantly timber sash and case with four-pane glazing. The building features an ashlar-coped skew, corniced rendered stacks with thack-stanes and yellow clay cans, a graded grey slate roof, and cast-iron rainwater goods.
