Description
75 Main Street in Dunlop is a cottage dating from the later 18th century, which has undergone various alterations and additions in the 20th century. It is a single-storey building with an attic and features a three-bay layout. The cottage has 20th-century canted, gabled dormers in the attic. The exterior is finished in painted render with painted margins and includes an eaves course.
The front door, which is timber-panelled and from the late 20th century, is flanked by bipartite windows. The attic contains two dormers. The windows throughout the cottage are timber sash and case, featuring 4-pane glazing. There are brick stacks topped with yellow clay cans, and the crowstepped gables are made of breeze-block. The roof is covered with graded grey slate.
