Description
Number 27, including the adjoining outbuilding at the rear, is a house that has been converted into a shop. It dates from the 17th century and features a timber frame. The front facade, which is now painted, was updated in the early 19th century with brick. The northern elevation displays exposed framing, while the lower part of the 17th-century rear extension is still visible. The building is two storeys high and has two first-floor windows with moulded architraves and 20th-century casements. The eaves are decorated with dentilled brickwork. The modern ground floor has been adapted for shop use. The rear elevation includes a gabled stair projection on the southern side, which is connected by a wall to an early to mid-19th-century outbuilding, likely a stable. This outbuilding is constructed of dark red brick with light red dressings and has a slate roof. The northern side of the outbuilding features two blank roundels and a central niche.
