Description
The Saracens Head Public House is a building that likely dates back to the 17th century. It features a timber frame and has a brick front added in 1832, which is now painted. The building underwent alterations around 1900 and has a slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and has three wide segmental-headed windows on the ground floor. Originally, there were two arched doors, but the right one is now blocked, while the left door has a porch hood. The first floor has recessed sash windows, with the outer ones set beneath mock timbered gablets. There are two red brick chimney stacks on the front ridge, both likely from an earlier period. Inside, the layout consists of three bays on a lobby entrance plan, with exposed chamfered beams.
