Description

Helmets Limited Registered Office is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the 16th century and features a timber frame that has been cased in red brick during the early and late 19th century, with an addition made around 1970. The building has a gable-ended range of two bays and a steep-pitched plain tile roof. There is a 17th-century red brick chimney stack located at the center of the east side. The north gable end includes a blocked attic oculus and ground and first floor casements with glazing bars, which are set below segmental gauged brick arches. The south gable features a 19th-century wrought iron weathervane. Inside, there is a large inglenook. The main structure remains intact and it was formerly used as the vicarage.
