Description
Waters Edge and Number 4 is a house, now divided into two houses, dating from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations and a brick front added in the 19th century. The building features a timber frame, with the northern end covered in dark weatherboarding and a grey brick front. It has a steep old red tile roof and is situated on a bank above the village pond, facing east next to Gothick House. The structure is 1 and a half storeys tall and originally had a three-cell internal chimney plan, with three gabled dormers that rise through the eaves. There is a large chimney on the front slope of the roof, located a third of the way from the southern end, and a smaller chimney on the front slope a third of the way from the northern end. The taller southern part of Waters Edge is not considered to be of special interest. This building is included for its group value.
