No. 18 High Street is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, although it was refronted in the early 19th century. The building has a timber frame with a stuccoed brick front and features a steeply pitched old tiled roof. It is two storeys high with two bays and one window. The entrance is located to the right and has reeded jambs and a hood. The windows are tripartite sashes with moulded flush frames, and there is a coped parapet above. A stack is located at the rear, and the house has a double span roof. At the rear, there are 12-pane sashes. The interior has not been inspected. This house is a surviving part of a larger house that was rebuilt as No. 20.
