Description

No. 27 Buntingford Road is a house dating from the 18th century or earlier. It has a timber frame with roughcast at the front and weatherboarded sides, topped by a steep old red tile roof. The house features a two-room lobby-entry central-chimney plan and faces east. It is two storeys tall with attics and has a symmetrical front with two windows and a central door. The upper windows are low two-light leaded casements with boarded shutters that have been renewed. There are small hipped and canted oriel windows on either side of the panelled door, which is set in a simple surround. Additionally, there is a small casement window in the attic within the gable.
