Description
Gardener's Cottage and the kitchen garden wall, located about 100 meters north of Woolmer's Park, have origins dating back to the 18th century, with alterations and the house constructed in the mid-19th century. The red brick wall, standing about 3 meters high, encloses a rectangular area measuring 50 meters by 80 meters. There are entrances on three sides, with the entrance closest to the main house featuring a segmental arch. The house itself is made of cement-rendered brick and has a tiled roof, designed in a T shape with two bays and two storeys. The outer elevation includes a projecting gabled bay on the right with a hooded entrance and two-light casements. The rear elevation facing the garden has a gabled bay on the left with an end stack, a central entrance with a raking tiled hood, and three-light casements on the ground floor and two-light casements on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
