Laurel Cottage

Laurel Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century and an extension added in the 20th century. It features a timber frame and stock brick construction, with weatherboarding and a slate roof. The house has three bays and two storeys.

On the ground floor, the entrance is located between the center and left bays, featuring a six-panel raised door with a Gothic open timber porch that has four-centred arches and a coved head with a finial. Flanking the entrance are flush frame glazing bar sash windows with external shutters. The first floor has three similar sash windows. The eaves are boxed, and there is a stack at the left end and a cross axial stack to the right of the center.

A one-storey, flat-roofed weatherboarded outbuilding projects from the right front of the house. The right gable end wall is made of stock brick and has a 20th-century ground floor window. At the rear, there is a parallel range that extends further to the right and has an extruded stack at the right end. The left end of the front range features a one-storey 20th-century outshut that is connected to an earlier black weatherboarded outbuilding with a pantiled roof, which includes a door and a two-light casement window at the front, along with double doors in the left gable end. The interior of the cottage has not been inspected.
