Description

Essendon Mill is a former mill and mill house. The house dates from the 17th century, while the mill was built in the late 18th century and extended on the south end in the late 19th century. The house, located at the northwest side, is L-shaped, with a plastered exterior and a plain tile roof. It has two storeys and attics, with a gable end facing south and features casement windows. The mill forms a continuous range, with the east elevation displaying late 18th-century red brick on the right side, featuring segmental-headed openings of various sizes. The left side of the mill is weatherboarded above a brick base, and there is a gabled sack hoist over two doors.
