HERTINGFORDBURY COLE GREEN TL 21 SE (Southeast side) 5/53 No. 31 (Spriggs) - - II

House. Mid to late C17, extended C19 and C20. Timber frame, extended in brick, rendered and colourwashed, some comb pargetting and weatherboarding. Tiled roof. 2 cells. 2 storeys and attic. Ground floor: rebuilt brick plinth, weatherboarding, 2 light diamond leaded casements, 2 single lights. First floor: two 2 light metal casements, inserted small lights. 2 gabled 2 light dormers with diamond leaded lights. Hipped roof with central stack behind ridge rebuilt. Left end: ground floor weatherboarded lean-to outshut with entrance, 3 casements on first floor. Right end: C20 entrance in an open hipped tiled porch. 1 storey C20 hipped wing to right, weatherboarded and pargetted to front. To rear two C20 gabled wings extend, that to left further with an extruded stack, leaded casements. Interior: exposed framing, stop chamfered binding beams.
