Description

Bran End Mill is a watermill, dating from the mid to late 19th century, built on the site of earlier mills. It has been converted into a dwelling. The mill is constructed of red brick, with five bays and three return bays, featuring pilasters between the bays. It has a grey slate roof and a gabled, weatherboarded hoist loft with a small window. The building extends over two storeys, has a basement, and a loft. There are four ranges of original recessed, small-paned metal windows with segmental arched heads, and a two-storey boarded door. Six circular iron tie brackets are also present.
