Description
Martin's Hall is a house, likely dating back to the 17th century or earlier, with a complex plan and subsequent additions and alterations. It is timber-framed and plastered, with 20th-century pargeting (decorative plasterwork). The building has red plain tiled roofs with gable ends facing the road, and a set-back wing to the left, featuring a small, single-storey hipped extension and a 20th-century hipped porch. To the right is another wing with exposed timber framing, and behind it, a possible porch or stair turret. The main facade has six window bays on the first floor and four on the ground floor, with mostly small-paned sliding sash windows. A 20th-century nailed and boarded door with side lights is located on the right side. A red brick chimney stack is visible on the left wing, alongside a probably rebuilt attached octagonal shaft. There is also a chimney stack on the double range.
