Description
The Mill is a watermill that dates back to the 15th century, with extensions added in the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. It is constructed of red brick with random grey headers and features weatherboarding, topped with a plain tile roof. The building has a complex plan and consists of two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. The central entrance is a plank door, flanked by two-light windows that have segmental brick heads. There is a single window on the first floor, and the roof includes a half-hipped cross-gable with a three-light window. A weatherboarded sack hoist and a cupola with a pyramidal tile roof are located at the center of the building. To the left, there is a single-storey and attic subsidiary wing with a single ground floor window and a gabled dormer. Inside, the mill features timber framing, which likely includes elements from the original 15th-century structure, and it houses a good collection of mill machinery.
