Cottages, C16 or earlier and C18, 2 storey timber framed and plastered, but 24 has part ground floor of painted brick with buttress strips. Gabled peg tile roof. Forms long block at right angles to street, with main front elevation facing S. This has on the first floor, 4 two-light casements each light divided into 4 equal panes. At 1st floor level, a painted timber frame strip. The ground floor has, from W to E, a double hung sash window, with vertical glazing bars, a C17 boarded front door and then a 3 light casement. Continuing on No. 24, are a pair of front doors with attached side casements with small panes, forming a mirrored group. The gable end to North Street has C19 scalloped bargeboards, a canted bay window with double hung sashes without glazing bars and entrance door with simple surround. On first floor is a two light casement with single, central, horizontal glazing bar. Large ridge line stack on centre line of No. 24 and small stack over party wall between units. The interior of No. 22 reveals a timber frame with tie beams and jowls of single storey height and evidence for the later raising of the eaves line.
