Description

This is a cobblers shop located south of number 13 on North Street in Great Dunmow, dating from the early 19th century. The building is a single-storey structure made of red brick, topped with a gabled roof covered in peg tiles. The south gable end features black tarred weatherboarding. The front of the shop has a central door with a timber arched head, flanked by small windows that have Gothick arches and leaded lights. There is a small square red brick chimney on the southeast corner of the roof, which has an attractive octagonal upper section made of shaped bricks.
