Description

This is a row of cottages dating to approximately 1800, located on the south side of High Street, Great Wakering. The building is timber-framed with rough rendering and weatherboarding on the return. It has a grey slate roof and central plastered chimney stacks of gault brick on the right side. The arrangement is two storeys high, with a four-window front featuring small-paned vertically sliding sash windows. One doorway is on the left, and two are on the right, each with a window in between. The doorways have simple surrounds and flat canopies supported by brackets. Two of the doors are vertically boarded, and one is 20th century. Originally designed as four cottages, the building is now divided into three dwellings.
