Description
This is a row of cottages located at 307, 309, and 311 Ferry Road, dating from the 18th century. They are timber framed and plastered, featuring some batten decoration. The cottages have a red plain tiled roof, which has been later altered to include a hip with a gablet on the left side. There are chimney stacks made of red brick on the left and gault brick on the right. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and include three gabled dormers.
The front facade has a three-window arrangement of vertically sliding sashes, mostly with small panes, and a small paned bay window on the ground floor to the left. There are four doors alternating with ground floor windows, all featuring moulded surrounds. The door on the right is from the 20th century, while the others are vertically boarded. The second door from the left has a frieze and a flat canopy supported by brackets, and the second door from the right has a red tiled gabled porch. Above this door, there is a plaque with the initials S.H. and the date 1793.
